We recognize that each situation and client comes to us with individual needs, and our team is well-practiced at customizing treatment plans, services, and experiences to meet these needs. Individuals interested in our 10-Day Detoxification and Assessment Service will receive a core set of offerings with the remainder determined based on client interest and clinical recommendations.

Core Services Include:

  • Initial medical assessment (health history and physical)
  • Medically supported and monitored detoxification
  • Initial psychiatric evaluation
  • Bio-psycho-social assessment
  • Neuropsychiatric screening and personality assessment
  • Individual sessions with an assigned Primary Therapist
  • One massage or acupuncture session
  • A Welcome Bag containing information about our treatment program, reading materials related to various community-based peer support options (i.e., 12-step, Recovery Dharma, and SMART recovery meetings), samples of Daily Affirmations texts, and a copy of our Phase One Workbook that includes information and writing assignments to assist clients in exploring and considering many aspects of their lives related to substance use and related issues.
  • A final report that includes impressions about diagnoses, recommendations, and resources for ongoing care; a summary of clinical and medical issues and key areas of focus should the client choose to enroll in treatment at any level of care.

Additional Services

  • With client permission, members of our team may have contact with designated individuals (family, outside professionals) to obtain historical data and other information that may be relevant to our assessment process.
  • A consultation session with the Clinical Director.
  • Optional individual sessions based on determination of clinical or medical necessity (nutrition assessment, follow-up sessions with our physicians, or consultation with a therapist about specific treatment modalities, such as EMDR).
  • Opportunities to attend and explore program offerings available during the 10-day period.* Among the options that may be identified as determined through consultation between the client and our team include:
    • Wide range of psychoeducational groups and group psychotherapy
    • Group yoga session
    • Group personal training session
    • Attendance at on or offsite fellowship meetings and experiential activities
  • A multidisciplinary meeting to include various members of the treatment team to present and review the final report and answer questions. Clients may invite family, outside professionals involved in their care, or others to this session at their discretion and that of our team.

*There is no expectation that clients will attend or participate in any programming. We welcome any level of participation by choice as deemed medically/clinically appropriate. This allows for additional team members to assist with the assessment process and making personalized recommendations.

Possibilities for Extensions

In certain cases, clients may decide to extend their 10-day time frame to accomplish specific goals. The number of additional days will be determined in collaboration with our medical and clinical teams. Possibilities include:

  • Completion of detoxification protocols that extend beyond 10 days: Clients may choose to complete their medically assisted/supervised detoxification process with us or we will refer to a provider in the community capable of assuming responsibility for continuation on an outpatient basis.
  • Additional neuropsychological testing: Those interested in a comprehensive battery of tests to incorporate both personality and cognitive functioning may extend for this purpose. Beyond this, we are also capable of assessing specific areas of clinical interest such as ADHD, trauma, mood disorders, etc. It is advantageous to complete such testing within a residential environment to ensure that individuals are not simultaneously using substances which is a common confounding variable when those with substance use disorders are assessed in outpatient settings.
  • Continuation of treatment: In some cases, clients may decide to stay to complete our standard 30-day (or longer) program of services. Treatment plans will be further developed to map the course of the additional days with specific goals in mind, scaled to the amount of additional time agreed upon.
  • Other: Our team is always open to specific circumstances and needs that either we or clients may not anticipate in advance. This may include time periods of less than 10 days or extensions beyond 10 but less than 30 days. Our goal is to provide the right fit for each client and plans are developed with that in mind.
